Arti Singh, shared Poonam's photo on her Instagram, expressed her disapproval, stating, “Disgusting… this is not awareness. I lost my mother when I was born because of cancer. I lost my father because of cancer...Just not acceptable: you are playing with everyone's emotions. Shame and it’s shocking that people can stoop down to this level…”

In response to the post, Bipasha Basu condemned the behavior as "Beyond pathetic" and called out the PR people involved, saying, "The PR people behind this should be ashamed too… not just this person." Tahira Kashyap, sharing her sentiments on Instagram Stories, expressed dismay at the cheap publicity stunt, questioning the value placed on breaking news and criticizing the act as the "lowest of lows." She refrained from naming the individual, deeming them unworthy of any importance.

Mini further criticzed the publicity stunt and wrote, "Brands and campaigns need to choose their ambassadors carefully. Who you want to represent your cause, your campaign is as important. Poonam Pandey may have seen this as an opportunity to be relevant again. But the campaign team... you picked HER for HPV vaccine awareness? Really? Because she is an icon for women in this country? Her loss will feel personal for all of us? Hard relate?..."

Mandira Bedi took to Instagram Stories and slammed the Lock Upp fame actress, she said  "That idiotic woman should not be given more attention than she already has got. But this was the most pathetic, cheap and deplorable publicity stunt. Even in the pitiful world of 'any publicity is good publicity'.. this doesn't make the cut. She doesn't strike me as someone who was doing this for the 'cause' of anything, but herself. She should be boycotted. #sickening Cancel the lowlife."

The move from Poonam Panday has irked celebrities who have called her out for this cheap publicity stunt. What are your thoughts?
